| Call to order - Lion President Steve Owens. Minutes accepted as read. No Treasurer's report given. BBQ statement accepted as written. Special Guests - Former Lion Mary Mooney sat in on the meeting. She also submitted an application for membership/reinstatement. ** PDG/PCC Lion Al Blumenberg spoke to the club about CSFII and invited us to be a Model Club. After some discussion, a motion was made by Lion Bob to be a model club, Lion Frank seconded and the motion carried. Committee Reports: Building - Nothing to report. Grounds - Asphalt contractor submitted bid for $8,100. Lion SteveO will check into cost of doing front & side only. Eye Care - Nothing to report. Eyeglass Collection - 14 pairs collected. Food Pantry - Nothing to report. Community Outreach - Nothing to report. Public Relations - The BBQ ad in the Leader looked great, we will do another and track results to see if it's worth doing. Lion Vicki will also look into getting BBQ's listed in community calendar. Golf Tournament - Tournament will be September 20, 2008 at Deer Creek in House Springs. Attendance prizes/raffle items needed, contact Lion Phil K.. Winter Fundraising - Next dinner/hold 'em night is April 26. Volunteers needed, contact Lion Karen. Bar - Not present. BBQ - Written statement. Old Business - Installation will be June 7 at Lions Frank & Mary's ranch. Club voted on membership application from Chris Maddox. Approved. New Business - Correspondence - Received banner patches from International for October Growth program. Tail Twister Report - Lion Al B. covered his fines with a $10 donation to CSFII. |
